A website link → a reviewed event

Don’t retype the event page.

Share an event page to Haven from Safari or paste its URL. Haven reads the page, finds the event details, and shows them for review before anything is saved.

You found the plan. Now it needs to reach the calendar.

The library program has a title, date, time, address, and registration link. The tournament page has the venue and every game. You can switch between Safari and the calendar to copy each field—or give Haven the page you already found.

Share → read → review

Use the link you already have.

Haven reads only the page you choose. You stay in control of what becomes part of the family calendar.

1. Share or paste the link

From Safari, tap Share, choose Haven, and tap Add to Haven. You can also paste the event-page URL inside Haven.

2. Haven reads the page

Haven looks for useful event details such as dates, times, locations, notes, and links.

3. Review before saving

Check the details, choose the events you need, assign family members, and then add them to the calendar.

What Haven can bring over

The useful parts of the page become event details.

What and when

Event name, date, start time, end time, and more than one date when the page clearly lists a schedule.

Where

Venue, address, and other location details that can later support a leave-time reminder.

What you may need later

Useful notes and a source or ticket link can stay with the event when the page provides them.

A different kind of useful capture

A birthday invitation can help you prepare before the party.

When a readable screenshot, photo, or pasted text is clearly an invitation to a birthday party, Haven can create the party event and a separate Get a gift reminder two days before. If the invitation includes an RSVP deadline, Haven can create that as a separate reminder too.

Haven does not guess what gift to buy. It also does not create a gift reminder for a birthday listed without a party. The reminder is there to put the errand on the family plan before the invitation becomes a last-minute scramble.

Best for

Families who keep finding dates on web pages.

School and community events

The details live on a school, library, parks, church, or neighborhood page instead of a calendar invitation.

Camps, sports, and activities

A registration page, tournament listing, or activity page has dates you do not want to type again.

Permission-based capture

You want to choose the specific page Haven reads instead of giving an app broad browser, email, or account access.

Good to know

Haven may not be right if…

  • You need Android or desktop access. Haven is currently focused on iPhone.
  • The event page requires a login, sits behind a paywall, or loads its important details only after scripts run. A screenshot is often the better path in that case.
  • You need the saved event to update automatically whenever the website changes. Haven reads the page when you share it; it does not keep monitoring the site.
  • You want events saved without review. Haven asks you to check the details first.

Other ways to get the plan in

Use the format the family received.

Questions about link import

Website event import FAQ

Can Haven make a calendar event from a website link?

Yes. Share a public event page to Haven from Safari or paste its URL. Haven reads the page and shows the event details for review before anything is saved.

How do I share an event page to Haven on iPhone?

Open the event page in Safari, tap Share, choose Haven, and tap Add to Haven. You can also paste the event-page URL in Haven.

What information can Haven read from an event page?

When the page includes it, Haven can find the event name, date, start and end times, venue or address, useful notes, and a source or ticket link. The user reviews the results before saving.

Does Haven automatically monitor the page for changes?

No. Haven reads the page when the user shares or pastes the link. It does not continuously crawl the page or update a saved event when the website changes.

What if the event page requires a login or will not load?

Public, readable pages work best. A site that requires a login or loads its details only after scripts run may not be readable. In that case, take a screenshot and import the image instead.

Can Haven help me prepare for a birthday party?

Yes. When a readable photo, screenshot, or text is clearly a birthday party invitation, Haven can create the party event and a separate reminder to get a gift two days before. If the invitation includes an RSVP deadline, Haven can create that as a separate reminder too.
