These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Haven for Families ("Haven," "the app," "we," "our," or "us"), available on iPhone and iPad. By downloading or using Haven, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Eligibility

Haven is intended for personal, family use by individuals 13 years of age or older. By using the app you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Haven on Apple devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial family scheduling purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer any part of the app.

3. Subscriptions and Purchases

Haven offers a free tier and optional paid subscriptions ("Haven Premium") that unlock additional features. Subscriptions are purchased through Apple's App Store and billed to your Apple ID account.

4. Your Content

You retain full ownership of any calendar events, family profiles, notes, and other content you create in Haven ("Your Content"). Your Content is stored in your personal iCloud account and is not accessible to us. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of Your Content.

5. AI Features

Haven includes AI-powered features (event suggestions, morning briefings, smart descriptions) powered by Google Gemini. These features are provided as-is and may occasionally produce inaccurate or unexpected results. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before relying on it. We are not liable for decisions made based on AI output.

Haven is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of bugs. Calendar sync depends on Apple CloudKit and your iCloud account; we are not responsible for sync failures caused by Apple's infrastructure.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Haven and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the app, including loss of data or missed appointments. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Third-Party Services

Haven integrates with Apple CloudKit and Google Gemini. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Haven at any time if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time. Sections 4, 7, 8, and 11 survive termination.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes within the app. Continued use of Haven after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
