To add ParentSquare school events to your calendar, sign in on the web, open Explore → Calendar → Subscribe, then right-click Yes, I’m Positive → Copy link address. Use that subscription address in Haven, Google Calendar, or Apple Calendar. The ParentSquare phone setting is another way to add events to your iPhone calendar.
A school feed can save the dates; families still need to remember the costume, return the form, and plan around an early dismissal. Haven AI Family Calendar connects compatible ParentSquare feeds to a shared family plan with notes, checklists, and briefings. Try Haven for iPhone.
Where do I find my ParentSquare calendar link?
Use ParentSquare in a web browser to copy a reusable calendar subscription link. These steps follow a school district’s ParentSquare instructions; the options your school publishes may differ.
- Sign in to ParentSquare and open the appropriate school view.
- Under Explore, choose Calendar. If you see a calendar preview instead, open its View All option.
- Select Subscribe near the top right.
- If a confirmation offers Yes, I’m Positive, right-click that button on a computer and choose Copy link address. On a Mac, Control-click also opens the link menu.
Copy the subscription destination rather than the ParentSquare page address. If the button opens a calendar app immediately, return to the subscription prompt and copy its link before opening it. A phone may show a different menu; use a computer browser if you cannot copy the address.
The Irvine Unified School District guide shows the Subscribe button and copy-link method. If your school does not expose a compatible feed, ask its office for the calendar subscription address.
How do I add ParentSquare to Haven?
- In Haven, open Settings → Connections → ParentSquare.
- Tap Add a calendar.
- Paste the complete address into Paste your schedule link and let Haven read it.
- Check the dates it finds, select who the calendar is for, and tap Connect.
- Review a few school and class events against the original calendar.
Keep a note about the costume for spirit day, a checklist for the class trip, or an earlier reminder to return a form. Haven checks the connected feed when you open the app, while your family notes and checklists stay with the plan.
If your children attend different schools, review what each feed includes before connecting another one. A school-wide event may appear in more than one source. See how to bring school dates together when some schools use calendars and others send newsletters.
How do I sync ParentSquare with Google Calendar?
Use Google Calendar in a computer browser for this setup.
- Copy the ParentSquare subscription address above.
- Open Google Calendar.
- Next to Other calendars, choose + → From URL.
- Paste the address, select Add calendar, and enable it in the calendar list.
Google handles when the subscribed calendar refreshes. This adds the school source alongside your other calendars, rather than automatically putting its events into a separate shared family calendar.
Google’s subscription help explains the web setup.
How do I add ParentSquare to Apple Calendar?
- Copy the school’s calendar subscription link.
- Open Apple Calendar → Calendars → Add Calendar → Add Subscription Calendar.
- Paste the address and tap Find in iOS 26. Older versions may say Subscribe.
- Name the calendar and choose a color. Select iCloud as the account if you want the subscription on your own Apple devices.
- Tap Done, or the older version’s Add option, then check that the calendar is selected.
A subscription is read-only. Using iCloud makes it available on devices signed into your Apple Account, not automatically on a partner’s separate account. See Apple’s subscription instructions.
Or turn on ParentSquare’s iPhone calendar setting
- Open the ParentSquare app.
- Tap the upper-left three-line menu.
- Open Account → Preferences.
- Enable Automatically add events to Calendar.
- Allow calendar access when prompted, then check the events in Apple Calendar.
Irvine Unified’s iPhone instructions document this route. If calendar access was previously denied, review ParentSquare’s calendar permission in iPhone Settings. This adds events to the phone calendar; use the subscription-link route above to connect directly to Haven.
Which ParentSquare events will update?
A feed can include published school, class, and group events available to your account. It does not guarantee that every date mentioned in a newsletter or message is on the calendar.
Haven checks compatible feeds when you open the app. Google and Apple use their own refresh schedules. For an urgent closure or last-minute change, check the school’s original announcement.
A downloaded calendar file, imported screenshot, or separate copied event is a snapshot. Use a subscription link for ongoing updates; add notices separately when they are not in the feed.
Troubleshooting
I can’t find Subscribe.
Check the school’s full calendar in the web version rather than an individual post. Your school may use a different calendar or may not expose a subscription. Ask its office which link families should use.
Haven says the link isn’t a calendar.
Check that you copied a calendar subscription address, not a sign-in page, school homepage, or one event’s URL. If the copied button opens a Google add-calendar page instead of providing a readable feed, ask the school for its iCal subscription link. You do not need to make a private school calendar public.
Some dates are missing.
Confirm that the event is on the source calendar and visible in your school view. A date in a post or attachment is not necessarily part of the subscription. For those notices, send Haven a readable screenshot or photo and review the events before saving.
Does Haven read our ParentSquare messages?
No. Connecting the calendar reads the compatible event feed. It does not scan your school messages or inbox. You choose any separate images, text, or public event links you want Haven to process.
For help with Haven, contact support. Describe the issue without sending a private calendar subscription URL.
