Haven for Families ("Haven," "we," "our," or "us") is a family calendar and scheduling app built for iPhone and iPad. We take your family's privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

The short version: your calendar and family data lives in your iCloud account. We don't have servers that store it, we can't access it, and we don't sell it.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your data to third parties.

3. iCloud and Apple CloudKit

All calendar and family data is stored exclusively in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework. Haven does not operate its own database for your personal data — we have no ability to access, view, or export your calendar content. 4. Google Gemini (AI Features)

Haven's AI features use the Google Gemini API. When you request an AI suggestion or morning briefing, relevant event text is sent to Google's servers to generate a response. This data is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We do not permanently store the text you send to Gemini on our own servers.

5. Children's Privacy

Haven is designed for use by adults managing family schedules. The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Haven does not collect children's names or any personal information about minors. Family member profiles consist only of a first name and visual preferences (color and emoji) entered by the adult account holder for their own organizational use. This data is stored exclusively in the adult's personal iCloud account — we have no access to it.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your calendar data lives in your iCloud account and is under your control at all times. You can delete any event, family member profile, or your entire account from within the app or from iCloud settings. Deleting the app removes all locally cached data from your device.

7. Security

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple CloudKit. We follow Apple's security guidelines and do not transmit unencrypted calendar content over the network.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date above and notify you within the app. Continued use of Haven after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
