This is a big update built around one simple idea: a family calendar should carry more than dates. Haven now helps with the planning, follow-up, and small details around every event, so there’s less for one person to keep in their head.
Capture the work behind the event
A flyer often comes with more than a date. Haven can now turn permission slips, payments, RSVPs, sign-ups, and other real deadlines into their own reminders—even when one document includes several due dates. Scan a birthday invitation and Haven also adds a gift reminder two days before the party, giving you time to pick something up.
Plan ahead before it feels urgent
Important plans no longer have to wait for a last-minute reminder. You can ask Haven to remind you one week, two weeks, or one month ahead, with sensible choices for all-day events. Your week-ahead view also brings longer-range plans back at the right time, so a birthday or trip doesn’t quietly sneak up on you.
Know what actually needs attention
Morning, weekend, and week-ahead briefings now give you the shape of the schedule at a glance, then add a gentle heads-up only when there’s something useful to act on. On the timeline, Haven can tell the difference between two harmless overlapping plans and a real conflict involving the same person or driver—so warnings mean something when they appear.
Keep the whole plan together
Event notes now grow as you type and can open into a full-height editor when a trip, list, or set of instructions needs more room. Links in notes are tappable too, keeping the booking page, map, or team details one tap from the event.
Your calendar has a safety net
Haven now keeps a rolling history of complete, time-stamped backups on your device, including events, checklists, family members, and saved places. iCloud keeps the family in sync; these local copies add another layer of protection if something is ever removed by mistake.
Other thoughtful improvements
Checklists are larger and easier to scan on both the timeline and the event itself, so the things you need to bring don’t disappear into the fine print.
Prep reminders now come from the checklist you made instead of a guess based on the event name.
Briefing times move in practical 15-minute steps, making the right time quicker to choose.
Saving, deleting, editing, navigating, changing settings, reviewing imports, and completing tasks now come with consistent feedback you can feel.
New events ease into the timeline and removed events ease away, including changes that arrive from your partner’s phone.
More dependable where it matters
Dense sports schedules and school calendars now have enough time to finish scanning, so the events you can see reliably reach the review list.
Scanned locations keep the main venue ready for directions and the exact field, court, or room with the event.
Long messages from a coach or school now create an event reliably, even when they arrive as one long line.
Morning briefings arrive at the time you choose, including after you turn them on or change the time.
When Haven says you’re driving, the “Head out” button now matches that assignment clearly.
Inviting a partner is back to Apple’s private, Messages-first sharing flow, with no email address required.
Polish & accuracy
This update makes family plans more accurate and the everyday experience a little calmer. Overnight events keep the right times, multi-day trips stay together, and map directions are more reliable.
Late nights keep the right time
Plans that cross midnight now keep their full time. If a school lock-in starts at 8 PM and ends at 7 AM, Haven understands that the event ends the next morning instead of dropping the end time.
One trip stays one event
Vacations, camps, and reservations that last several days now come into Haven as one event with a clear date range. You’ll no longer see the same trip repeated once for every day.
Map pins land where you expect
Specific details like “Field 2,” “Court B,” or “Room 14” can confuse map searches. Haven now finds the main venue first while keeping the exact field or room with the event, so you can get to the right place and still know where to go when you arrive.
Other improvements
Haven now offers its best location guess alongside other familiar places when you create an event.
Clear days use calmer language and include a gentle look at tomorrow, so breathing room feels reassuring instead of unfinished.
Moving between days, saving a plan, and checking off a reminder now come with subtle taps you can feel.
Scanned schedules and the events they create are easier to compare on the review screen.
Fixes
Family names and colors stay readable, including when a family member uses a very dark color.
Event titles now appear right away instead of revealing one letter at a time.
Better scanning and more ways to make Haven yours
Schedules are easier to bring into Haven and faster to review. This update also gives every family a few more ways to make the calendar feel like their own.
Review more of the schedule at once
The scanned image now takes up less room, leaving more space for the events Haven found. When you bring in a full season, you can review more of the schedule at once without as much scrolling.
Bring in plans from more apps
Haven can now scan schedule images shared from more of the apps families already use, including GameChanger, GroupMe, and other popular team apps.
Know whose plan it is at a glance
Give each child a favorite color and emoji so practices, appointments, and school events are instantly recognizable. Family profiles and calendar details stay in your private iCloud account—not on Haven’s servers.
Directions open in the app you trust
Choose Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze once in Settings. Haven will open directions in your preferred map app, so you don’t have to choose every time.
Haven is available on the App Store
Haven is now available for iPhone. We built it for families who are tired of carrying the whole schedule in one person’s head—and tired of retyping plans from texts, flyers, emails, and team apps.
From day one, Haven helps your family share the plan and the work behind it.
Take a picture. We’ll handle the rest.
Photograph a school flyer or take a screenshot of the coach’s schedule. Haven turns it into events you can review, assign, and add without typing every date by hand.
Add it once. Everyone has it.
Your family calendar stays in sync through iCloud. When something changes, everyone has the same plan without another round of texts.
Who’s going? Who’s driving?
Assign family members and a driver to each event so pickup and drop-off plans are settled before the day gets busy.
Wake up knowing what’s next.
Morning briefings give the family a simple look at the day ahead. Conflicts, activities, and the details that matter are easier to see before everyone starts moving.
Know when it’s time to leave.
Haven checks the drive and reminds you when it’s time to go, so getting to practice or pickup doesn’t require another calculation.
